It's the first day of school,

Bidding adieu to the dog,

HmMmM, wHaT hApPeNeD lAsT wEeK?

Well, here's what we've been
up to this last week:

we've had fun at Lowes--

Some of us have had more fun than others.

(Craig's been adding electricity to the barn.)

We've held our 11-year-old Scout Day Camp

with Craig as our fearless first aid instructor,

and N8 as his fun-loving asssistant.
(I think that he liked helping with the base's water slide best.)

We've gotten bored while mowing lawns

and gotten bored while sister was checking out the cute shoes at Target.

We've been to the temple, and....

we've found a dog.
(Actually, he was trapped in a cattleguard outside of our Scout Day Camp.)
He is a street-smart--he's been on
his own for a while, 1-year-old
chihuahua with a timid and kind disposition.
He gets along well with Maddie, so we're keeping him.
We named him "Scout"--what else?

OuR aMaZiNg GrAnDcHiLdReN!

We have the most amazing granchildren,

and I don't mean to brag but....

Carter is only 7 weeks old and already

he can wave,

and stand,

and walk!!!!

Alysia, who just shy of a year,

is ready to step right in

and substitute for any BYU cheerleader

who might have a cold or have pulled a muscle.

After all....

she's already mastered choir conducting!

Talon, at the age of two, is a reknown performer

on stage, screen,

or table top....

who moonlights

as a pirate plundering funds

to add to his college savings account.

Four-year-old Lily

is already a master rabbit trainer....

and queen!

Jacob is currently a stand-in

for Brad Pitt....

an accomplished mountain climber....

and can easily change a light bulb

or paint the ceiling!

Easton graduated from BYU

at the young age of 11 months,

tried farming for a while....

but decided to become a
professional wake-boarder at age five
instead.

Matthew, who is eight,

has discovered how to fly....

became a gladiator, but....

seems to enjoy the simple life

of a master gardener!

Wow, do we ever have amazing grandchildren!

We are so very thankful for each of them!

They're wonderful!

HaPpY cAmPeRs!

Well, last week, N8 got back from a week

at Boy Scout Camp.

He had a GREAT time and

never gets enough camping, so...

this weekend, we headed back up to Tahoe

where we hiked to Skunk Harbor.

(This is a picture of the hikers posing

for your entertainment.)

This is the path that you take to get there.

Skunk Harbor has an old rock mansion

that was built in the 20's.

You can also find people who do yoga

poses on the surrounding rock work, or....

on the granite boulders in the harbor.

The view there is beautiful!

And the water is ....

just right....

at least for boys who don't seem to care

how cold it can get!

Hmmm, 'wonder if he's out there

singing that song that Liam knows????

The next day, Der, Marie, and Carter came to visit.

There was, once again, a line to

hold Carter.

He is just the cutest, little guy!

(The one of the right, isn't bad, either!)
