The "B's"

Be grateful.
('Yep, that's The Thanksgiving Turkey Trot, 2007.)

Be smart.
(That's N8 as Thomas Edison.)

Be clean.
(What more can we say? Happy Halloween, 2006.)

Be true.

(We're crossing the Sweetwater River
at Martin's Cove, Wyoming, July, 2007.)

Be humble.
(That's Nauvoo, 2006.)

Be prayerful.
(Chels, Kaylee, Kathy, Danny, and Tony
doing baptisms at the LA Temple.)

And...
Bee a gud speler!
(Congrats to N8 who placed 2nd.
in the CCJHS 7th. Grade spelling bee!)

Oh what do you do in the winter time?

Oh, what do you do in the winter time,
when all the world is icy?

Do you play in the snow?

And avoid yellow snow?

Or watch as the flurries go by?
(Hey, wait a minute--that's a picture from last year!)

Is that what you do?
So, do I!
(It's cold here.)

Inaugaration Day? It's Dad's birthday!

January 20th. is a special day for many.

I have never forgotten on what day the
president has his inaugaration.

That's only because something more special
than that happened on the date.

That's right--my dad was born.
What a great man!
"A father's place is to preside, provide,
to love and teach the Gospel to his children.
A father leads in family prayer, to share their love for
Father in Heaven.
God gave us families to help us become what He wants us to be.
This is how He shows His love...
for the family is of God."
Happy birthday, Dad!

It's time to go skiing!

Yep, we cut school Friday and went to Mount Rose.

Hmm, snow in the mountain.
Dirt in the valley below.

Up the lift we go

Aaaagh, a black diamond!
Oh, what the heck--anything's better than school, right?
We survived.
It was a fun day!

Happy new year, everyone!

It's 2009, and this is how our family
welcomed it in...

We escaped to Tahoe,
made resolutions,

and did head plants in the snow.
We hope that your new year is the very best yet!
